Sähëlï Hub Running

Educates, Motivates, Inspires
And Empowers

Sähëlï work in partnership with Run Birmingham and deliver ‘women only beginners running ‘sessions.

The Sähëlï runners were challenged by the Deputy Leader Cllr Ian Ward to get more BME women’s participation in the Birmingham Half Marathon(BHM). Sähëlï took up the challenge in 2014 and in the first year 17 Sähëlï runners took part in their first ever Half Marathon.

In 2015 we had 30 women take part in the BHM.

To date Sähëlï Runners have completed five Half Marathons (including the Great North Run in 2015). Four 10ks and the group travelled up to Edinburgh in 2016 to take part in the Edinburgh 10.5 miles in April 2016

You do not have to be a runner to join the group. You can start off walking and decide if you want to – when you are confident enough start to running. We will be with you every step of the way.

So, when can you join us?
